The Courteeners take on Scouting For Girls at V Festival

The Courteeners played the Stafford leg of this year's V Festival this afternoon (August 16) - taking a swipe at Scouting for Girls in the process.

Hailing from Manchester, the group enjoyed a "hometown" crowd wHO joined in with several loud sing-a-longs during the set.

"Thank you for watching us instead of Scouting for Girls," stated frontman Liam Fray[/a]. "Now on with the show."

[B]Fray
also had a word of warning for whatever of the crowd contemplating a holiday romance, dedicated cautionary making love song 'Bide Your Time' to "anyone who's been on vacation this year".

The Courteeners played:

'Aftershow'

'Acrylic'

'Cavorting'

'Bide Your Time'

'Please Don't'

'Kings Of The New Road'

'Fallowfield Hillbilly'

'You're Not 19 Forever'

'What Took You So Long'
